Cookies may be stored within your system. To the extent we use cookies, we can only access information from a cookie sent by one of the Sites, not other websites. We may use cookies to personalize your visit to my Site, because tracking usage (such as from Google Analytics) allows us to best determine the needs of our customers.
Personal Information
Unless we expressly note otherwise, Handy Hay Nets does not collect personally-identifiable information from users of our Site. When you visit our Site, some information about your computer hardware and software is inherently automatically collected, such as your IP address, domain name, browser type, access time and referring website addresses. I typically do not use this information for any purpose, but an example of when I may use this information is in implementing improvements and analyzing the Site and for troubleshooting purposes. Most of our products or services do not require any form of registration, allowing you to visit the Site without telling us who you are. However, some services, such as email opt-in for customer accounts, may require you to provide us with Personal Data. In such a case, you may choose to use our Site without sharing Personal Data requested by us, but it may not be possible for you to gain access to certain parts of the site or content (such as customer accounts or gift certificates).

When my customers set up a customer account this is the information that Squarespace collects so that they can more easily purchase products on Handy Hay Nets now and in the future:

Email address
Customer since (date of first order)
Total spent
Date of last order
Number of orders
Average order value
Shipping address (from most recent order)
Billing address (from most recent order)
Handy Hay Nets does not export this information from servers (Squarespace) to utilize for ANY purpose.
International Privacy Laws
If you are visiting Handy Hay Nets website from outside of Canada, please be aware that you are sending information to Ireland where our servers are located. Information you submit may then be transferred within Ireland or back out of Ireland to other countries outside of your country of residence, depending on the type of information and how it is stored by Squarespace (our web host). These countries may not necessarily have data protection laws as comprehensive protective as your country of residence; however, our collection, storage, and use of your data will at all times continue to be governed by this Privacy Policy.
Data Retention
We only retain Personal Data collected from Users for a limited period of time as long as we need it to fulfill the purposes for which we have initially collected it, unless otherwise required by law. We will retain and use information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements for a period of 5 years.
We do not give away, sell, rent or lease any users’ personally identifiable information to any merchant, advertiser or web publisher. We use third party payment processing (Stripe Canada) and by purchasing through our site you agree to allow your purchase information to be sent to them.
